About Me

Hi ! I am Luna!

Hi there! I’m Luna Saber— cat lover, wellness enthusiast, and the person behind MyPawellness .

I live in New York with my four cats, who are honestly the reason this blog exists. They’re my taste-testers, my research subjects (the willing kind), and the reason I know way too much about cat food ingredients at 2 AM.

My goal is to understand cats not just as companions, but as emotional beings with personalities, needs, and feelings just like us.

How This Blog Started

I grew up in a home full of cats. My mom was a cat person, and from the time I could walk, there was always a cat nearby — on the couch, on the table, on my homework. Living so closely with cats gave me something I didn’t expect: an obsession with understanding them.

Not just “oh, cute cat” understanding. I mean the deep stuff — why does my cat do that weird thing at 3 AM? Is this food actually good for them or is the marketing lying to me? Should I be worried about this behavior?

I started researching. Not casual Googling — real research. Veterinary journals, university studies, vet-reviewed resources. And I realized two things:

  1. There’s SO much confusing, contradictory cat health information online.
  2. Most cat owners don’t have time to read 40-page veterinary studies.

So I started MyPawellness to bridge that gap. I do the hours of research so you can get clear, honest, actually useful answers in 10 minutes.

What Makes MyPawellness Unique?

MyPawellness isn’t just a blog—it’s my way of making cat care simple, clear, and full of love. I want every cat to live a healthier, happier life, and to help cat owners feel confident and supported every step of the way.

What I Am (and What I’m NOT)

Let me be straight with you:

I am:

  • ✅ A dedicated cat parent to 4 cats
  • ✅ A thorough researcher who cites veterinary sources
  • ✅ Someone who’s spent hundreds of hours reading veterinary literature
  • ✅ Honest about what I know and what I don’t know
  • ✅ A real person who actually uses the products I recommend

I am NOT:

  • ❌ A veterinarian
  • ❌ A vet tech or licensed animal health professional
  • ❌ A replacement for your vet

If your cat is sick, injured, or behaving unusually — call your vet, not a blog. I’ll always tell you that. Any blogger who tells you otherwise doesn’t have your cat’s best interest at heart.

What You’ll Find Here

Nutrition & Food Guides — Honest breakdowns of what’s actually in your cat’s food, which brands are worth the money, and homemade recipes I’ve actually tried with my own cats.

Health & Wellness — Evidence-based information about common cat health topics, sourced from veterinary research. When something is serious, I’ll tell you to see your vet.

Behavior & Training — Why your cat does what they do, and practical ways to address behavioral challenges.

Product Reviews — Real opinions on cat products. If something is overpriced garbage, I’ll say so.

How This Blog Makes Money (Transparency)

I believe you deserve to know how I make money:

  • Affiliate links — Some product links earn me a small commission if you purchase through them. This costs you nothing extra. I mark these clearly.
  • Display advertisements — You’ll see ads on the site. They help keep the lights on.
  • Important: I never recommend a product BECAUSE it pays me a commission. If something isn’t good, it doesn’t make it onto my site — no matter how much they’d pay me.

The Crew

I share my New York apartment with four cats who have very strong opinions about everything. You’ll see them mentioned (and photographed) throughout the blog. They’re the real bosses around here.

Thanks for being here. Seriously. The fact that you’re researching how to take better care of your cat means you’re already a great cat parent.
